Bukola Thomas

Bukola is an accomplished Human Resource Management (HRM) professional with over 24 years of experience in providing strategic human resource guidance to national and international organizations. She has led several initiatives including HR policy development and implementation, reward and engagement management, post-merger integrations, change management, learning and development as well as performance management process implementation among others. 

Bukola has a Bachelors’ Degree in Geography and Planning, a Masters’ Degree in Human Resource Management from Kingston University, UK as well as a second Masters’ Degree in Managing Organizational Performance from Cranfield University, UK. Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development UK (CIPD) as well as the Nigerian Institute of Management. She has worked across varying sectors: Financial Services, Telecommunications, Marine Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas. Prior to joining Old Mutual as Human Capital Executive, 

Bukola was the Group Head, Talent Management at Dangote Industries Limited (Dangote Group). She also worked at ntel Telecommunications as Acting Director Human Resources and Business Services. Prior to this, she had worked as HR Consultant / Business Partner for the Corporate and Investment Banking Division for Stanbic IBTC Bank (a member of Standard Bank Group). She currently has the overall responsibility of Human Capital for emPLE General Insurance and Life Assurance subsidiaries,

She is passionate about enabling the development of effective people management frameworks for large corporations as well as SMEs across sectors within Africa and the emerging markets.  She has facilitated people management workshops for Not -For -Profit Organisations such as Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), Fate Foundation, Freedom Foundation and Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation (Access Bank Foundation).
