He has over 13 years’ experience spanning operations, investment research and risk management across the financial services industry notably Commercial & Investment Banking and Insurance.
He started his career within in the Operations Team of Intercontinental Bank (now acquired by Access Bank), joined the Strand Capital Partners as a Research Analyst before moving to his, so far, careering defining role within the inaugural Operational Risk Management Team of Guaranty Trust Bank where he developed his skills in risk control and assurance; and supporting the Bank’s Enterprise-wide Risk Management embedding efforts.
This winner of the Young Risk Manager of the year at the 2014 Nigeria Risk Awards, has numerous trainings in risk management, business continuity, governance, strategy, sustainability and internal controls and has been a panelist at numerous international and local conferences.
Odekunle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lagos State University, is an Alumnus of Wits Business School in South Africa and is a Certified Information Systems Audit (CISA).
